On March 21, 2023, I was taken violently from a place near Baghdad. I was there doing research for my university studies. My kidnappers brought me to a small room. They cut the ropes on my arms and legs and took a bag off my head. The secret prison was run by a militia group from Iraq that is supported by Iran. That was my first day of being a prisoner. I was a prisoner for 903 days in total. For the first few months, I was in a prison for Iraqi victims. Later, I learned the men worked for a security agency. But they did not take me for political reasons. They kidnapped me only for money, which is called a ransom.
