The conditions inside the camp were terrible. The toilets did not work, and there was no clean water. Rey had diabetes and needed his daily medicine. However, the guards refused to give it to him. Without his medicine, Rey quickly became very weak. He spent many weeks in this bad place before he agreed to be sent back to Mexico just to escape the terrible conditions.
